With DC Tower 3, a 100 metre high residential tower has been built on the Donauplatte in the north of Vienna on a floor area of 775 m², offering space for 832 student flats. While a fitness studio and a sky bar set new standards for young living inside, the building is characterised by its special architecture on the outside: Cantilevered, triangular façade sections made of aluminium-framed glass ensure bright rooms and the best views, for example over the Danube or the neighbouring UNO City. For the sealing of this unitised façade, the responsible building physicist required a vapour-tight solution and therefore a material that meets an sd value of ≥ 1500 m.
